A teacher, student, and a mom are just a few job titles I have these days! All of which I take on with great pride!
I have been teaching at St. Croix Central High School for 15 years. I am one of three multi-categorical special education teachers. The students on my caseload are in grades 9-12, and their needs vary from mild cognitive disabilities, learning disabilities, and other health impairments which have included cerebral palsy and seizure disorders. I thoroughly enjoy working with my students, and I cannot wait to incorporate e-learning into my classroom!
Although I have a fond love of teaching, during the last few years I have developed an "itch" to do more with my life. I became a graduate student working toward my masters in education. I am not 100% certain of the path I will take, but I want to show my students and children that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to!
This leads me to the three lovely beings pictured with me above. Austen, 17, is a junior in high school. Add a few more inches and pounds to the young man in that picture as that photo was taken last football season! Nathen, 9, is in the 4th grade and is my quiet, homebody boy! He is my sensitive thinker. Avery, 8, will be entering 3rd grade. Nothing keeps this girl down. She is my girl with grit and spitfire! All of my children are loving, and have huge generous hearts! I am so proud!
