This was the week in which Bloom's Taxonomy and creating rubrics were covered. These were both items that I have previously learned about, but the twist was, this week offered a new perspective for me. What made this worthwhile was the peer review feedback. It was great to read other taxonomy assessments and rubrics to see where I could make better changes in my work. I like the idea of peer review and feedback in coursework as different perspectives provide another dimension in creation. In teaching online courses, I think peer feedback works very well! I would also like to try peer feedback in my face-to-face classroom setting with my special education students. I think allowing them to look at other work may increase their confidence in creating materials. I know that I would have to create specific expectations so that my students appropriately evaluate work, but this may be a great way to increase skill levels in my students. I am also thinking that this will be a great tool for students with autism as they have a difficult time connecting with peers and real-life circumstances. They may struggle, but if the overall objective is to increase their level of connectivity, working with their peers would be a great experience for them.
